The beach is known for its tranquil atmosphere and excellent sun exposure, making it ideal for long summer days by the sea. Nearby, Galapinhos Beach — once named Europe’s best beach — offers an equally serene experience for those seeking unspoilt natural beauty.

Located in Lagos, in the Algarve, Praia do Camilo is one of southern Portugal’s most picturesque beaches. While small in size, it is renowned for its dramatic setting and panoramic ocean views.

Accessed via a staircase of more than 200 steps, the descent is part of the experience. Along the way, several viewing points offer stunning vistas of the coastline, making the journey to the shore just as memorable as the time spent by the water.
