The Algarve region takes the top spot as the best beach destination at the Oscars of the tourism, leaving behind nominees that are worldly famous shore locations, such as the Philippines and the Maldives. For the 4th time the Algarve region, located in the South of Portugal, is elected the World's Leading Beach Destination, according to the World Travel Awards 2024, the most important tourism award on the planet.
